Coach Peekel

Born and raised in the Netherlands, coaching and competition have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played field hockey at the professional level before moving to the United States in 2009 to pursue my passion for coaching. My coaching journey eventually brought me to Rutgers University, where I had the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level.
In 2017, I moved to Washington State, and former Inglemoor coach Kent invited me to become part of the Inglemoor soccer program. I started as the JVC coach and have worked my way up through the program ever since. Coaching is my passion, and I love watching a team come together, not just as individual players, but as a connected group that trusts, supports, and pushes one another. Seeing team chemistry develop is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me.
And yes, I love winning too! I believe you can be competitive while creating a positive and enjoyable environment. My coaching philosophy focuses on what we can do, rather than what we can't do. I want my players to play with confidence, positivity, energy, and the belief that they can accomplish something special together.
For me, coaching has never just been about the game. It's about developing people, building relationships, creating a strong team culture, and helping athletes become the best versions of themselves, both on and off the field.
